The State has not paid the Triad Unit 2 school district the revenue owed – amounting to over $3 million in the past 4 years. The district will never receive these funds. Even with cuts made over the past four years, including 29 certified staff, Triad will be at a deficit of about $2 million this year and will be out of reserves by the end of the 2015-2016 school year. It is up to the local community to solve this revenue gap. With the community’s help in passing an Education Fund Referendum, more drastic changes will be avoided – including saving up to 31 certified staff. In order to achieve this, the Education Fund amount would be raised from 1.84 to 2.34, which is very comparable to similar surrounding school districts and would still place Triad’s Ed Fund rate in the bottom half. We need you to vote “Yes” on April 7, 2015.
Please Vote Yes 2 Triad!
