Triad has been proactively trying to reduce costs and cut as much as possible over the past few years. As a result, 29 certified staff have been cut since 2010. Also supply costs have been reduced by $2.7 million ($450,000/year) since 2009.
-
Even with these cuts Triad will be at a deficit of about $2 million this year and will be out of reserves by the end of the 2015-2016 school year.

-
It is up to the local community to solve this revenue gap. With the community’s help in passing an Education Fund Referendum, more drastic changes will be avoided. In order to achieve this, the Education Fund amount would be raised from 1.84 to 2.34, which is very comparable to similar surrounding school districts and would still place Triad’s Ed Fund rate in the bottom half.
