I vote no.
Please keep in mind, choosing not to vote at all OR voting "no" will have a negative impact on both our community and schools. Voting "YES" to Triad is also voting "YES" to our community. The following graphics depict the school and community impact of a "NO" vote:

Real Estate Value
A USA Today study entitled “Better Schools Mean Higher Property Values” concluded: “In city after city, it’s customary for a house to be worth at least 10% more than a house across the street, if that street is the boundary line between a highly rated school district and a laggard. In some cases, houses in the best school districts cost almost twice as much as those nearby.” -

Class size
The evidence suggests that increasing class size will harm not only children’s test scores in the short run, but also their long-run human capital formation. Money saved today by increasing class sizes will result in more substantial social and educational costs in the future.
In addition to declining property values, Triad is at risk of losing great families who are looking for reasonable class sizes and opportunities for their children.

Opportunities
Studies show that involvement in extracurricular activities and non-madated classes keeps kids in school!

Neighborhood schools
"Neighborhood schools provide intangible benefits beyond the education of our young ones. Neighborhood schools are one of the essential elements to maintaining healthy and vibrant cities and towns and their value stretches well beyond the traditional economic measures of dollars and cents."Jerry Grebenc
